Introduction
This is a Tasmanian single malt whisky from the Hellyers Road Distillery in Tasmania. The "Roaring Forty" is their original expression. It is aged in American white oak barrels before being bottled with no age statement.

On the Nose
This is a fresh and fruity whisky, with hints of lime citrus and banana drizzled with vanilla syrup, or honey.
On the palate
Very mild on the tongue, and almost feeling slightly watery at first. But, it does become a more oily finish as you sip, with sweet notes of almond and fresh fruits. It's not an overly strong taste, and one you'd likely forget very quickly.
Conclusion
I was expecting more - when I nosed this, it smelt really fruity and sweet. But on tasting, something just wasn't quite right for me. I think I was a little disappointed in the lack of flavour coming through.
